A second viewing observation:
You can clearly see the enmity between Hal and Sinestro. I guess there are those people whom you just don’t like naturally.
So I was chosen.
I was going to meet up with my friends at the mall when out of the green, another friend called me to tell me that the Green Lantern premiere night was in 15 minutes. Good thing it was in the same mall I was already in. It was my destiny. So, sorry friends.
Now, I view DC movies more than once because I am a fan. It’s not only because of support, but because the first viewing is always the hardest for me. As a fan, I have a lot of baggage. I have lots of expectations, excitement and general information about characters. I’ve watched minutes of trailers, I’ve seen character designs and I’ve even figured out how the story would go (as early as the movie was announced). Watching it for the first time, all of these still remain; thus here is my one-sentence review:
It was OKAY.
Now, I’ll have to wait 2 days so I can watch it again, hopefully with some friends. By that time, with all my excitement washed away, maybe I could even say that I love it.
